  is shunning a wicked act of revenge?.

  Shunning (as in disfellowshipping, the flip-side of disassociation) is completely scriptural and neutral and is an act of loyalty to Jehovah's arrangement and is done out of the highest form of love, that mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13: that of principled love.

  I believe in the "holy spirit" (according to John 17:11), not the "Holy Spirit" which Trinitarians try to insist on.

  this is in line with Jesus (as Michael the Archangel) being above [ordinary, other classes of] angels.

  It is comparable to the WTS saying that a matter is to be dealt with by the service committee instead of by publishers. We all know that the elders on a service committee all are publishers, just several grades above the other classes of publishers.

  If a human has revenge, he is sinning and not shunning correctly. Shunning is a form of neutrality. Revenge is NOT.

  Anyone heard of Watchtower policy change concerning pedophiles

  i'm passing this along from someone else on another discussion board.

  the claim of any substantive change in the policy on pedophiles is news to me.

  can anybody verify or falsify this claim?.

  It is not the "child" that must present 2 witnesses. It is the JC that must. Even a pedophile "in denial" is obvious to those who are discerning about body language, eye movements, etc.

  No, "believing all things" is actually not the same as being "gullible". It is a matter of being "spiritually discerning" versus "spiritually naïve". The one who "believes all things" is working with 1 Corinthians 13 as the basis for the true measure of substance. The gullible is too inexperienced to measure correctly, and is thus easily deceived.

  Jesus came into the world "holy in his spirit". He was blessed or anointed spiritually was all. It looked like a dove coming down, just as John the Baptiser was told it would. The blessing that looked like a dove or a flame was just Jehovah's way of making it obvious.
